Staying active online is not the same as making progress. Here is the difference between filling a calendar and building a presence that works.
Most businesses that feel stuck on social media are not posting too little. They are posting without a reason. The calendar gets filled, the week passes, and nothing measurable changes.
A strategy answers three questions before anything is created: who is this for, what should they understand, and what should they do next.
Start with the customer, not the platform
It is tempting to begin with format — a Reel, a carousel, a trend. But format is the last decision. The first is what your customer is unsure about, and what would move them closer to trusting you.
Give every post a job
Content generally does one of five things. If a post does not clearly do one of them, it is probably not worth making.
- Attract attention
- Educate
- Build trust
- Generate engagement
- Encourage action
Review, then adjust
Check performance monthly rather than daily. Patterns over a month tell you something useful; a single quiet post usually tells you nothing at all.
